For those of you who have NOT created an account at the CIW Testing Site, you need to take care of that asap. I count 13 folks who have not signed up. I cannot assign a CIW exam to you or add you to a testing session until you have logged in and created an account at:

If you have an account at this site or if you have taken a CIW exam before, please disregard this message.

Drop Deadline is Today, 11/5

Now, don’t take this personally, but I like to remind all of my students about this:

The LAST day to drop a course this semester with a grade of W (for withdraw, of course) instead of an F (if you’re failing) is today, Thursday, November 5.

If you are failing any course and need to drop and try again later, then you might consider dropping it today so you will not have an F figuring into your GPA and on your transcript. Believe me, a “W” looks way better than an “F.”

Welcome back!

Fall Break was great! I got lots of work done around the house and planted some tulip bulbs as well as visited with some friends. I had loads of fun! I trust that you did, too, and are back refreshed and ready to face the next 8 weeks.

Can you believe that the semester is almost half over? Amazing!!

I want to wish each of you a great fall break next Monday and Tuesday! I hope you’ll take the opportunity to catch up on your work (if you need to do so) and play some. I’m in PLAY DEFICIT, aren’t you?

Did any of you make it to the PSCC Balloon Festival on Friday? I was at the second entrance to the campus grabbing, uh, I mean, taking people’s money. I stayed for the Balloon glow and it was awesome! I hope you all got to campus and had some kettle corn, funnel cake, or sno cones! If you did not make it, pencil it on next year’s calendar—the last weekend in September. After Saturday’s downpour, I was delighted to see Sunday’s blue skies and sun. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I’ll be posting information about your online practice tests later this week, so check back. Have a great week studying in your coreq classes!

I’ll be posting information for those of you in WEB 2291, 2292, 2293 and 2391 about your certification one-hour courses. Stay tuned for further information as the semester progresses! Study hard in your companion courses (either WEB 2200, 2210, 2220, or 2300)! It will be time to study CIW materials the 13th week of the semester before we know it!
